Arthur watched you as you walked through the streets with Gwaine, holding his arm, laughing at his comments, enjoying yourself completely. Currently, the two of you were looking at various clothe patterns for a dress you were wanting to make, with Gwaine suggesting things and you pointing out every flaw in his fashion taste. Arthur tried to concentrate back upon the conversation he was having with Percival and Lancelot, but he kept hearing your laugh through the bustle of the marketplace and seeing you out of the corner of his eye. Finally he became aware that he was being asked something.
"Did you hear me? I asked 'Are you listening?' at least five times! What on ever could be distracting you so much, Arthur?" asked Percival.
"I'll tell you what could be distracting him, is Lady (y/n)." Lancelot laughed as he pointed you out to Percival, who smirked. "There's no doubt (y/n)'s the one he's thinking of, you know how he loves her from afar! But looks like (y/n) isn't loving Arthur! What a predicament for him. Well, looks like our company isn't exciting enough." and with that, both of the men walked off together grinning and laughing, leaving Arthur glaring at his two immature friends. He wondered if maybe you really did love Gwaine, or if you were just friends, or if Gwaine loved you.

"Come on, Arthur, you know you fancy her." Said Percival.
"It's only incredibly obvious." Added Lancelot. Arthur sighed, not wanting to have this conversation with his friends.
"Look, (y/n) doesn't..." But he cut off as you swept into the room.
"Hey, (y/n), we were just talking about you!" Lancelot exclaimed.
"Only bad things, of course." Grinned Percival.
"Oh, haha, very funny, Percy. I didn't come here to be mocked, I came to see if Gwaine was here, but apparently he isn't. Thanks anyway." You turned to leave but just as quickly turned around to face them again. "Are you alright, Arthur? You look a bit upset." At that, both Lancelot and Percival smiled at each other, but you didn't notice because you were too worried over Arthur.
"I'm fine, (y/n), go find Gwaine. You need not concern yourself over me." His words came out more sharp than he had intended them and he could tell his tone had hurt you.
"Fine, let him know I'm looking for him if you see him." And you hurried out.
"I know, I know! I didn't mean it to sound that way, so don't say anything." Arthur snapped at Percival, who had been opening his mouth to speak. "I'll find her tomorrow and apologize."
~roughly 15 minutes later~
"(y/n)'s looking for you." Arthur commented to Gwaine, who had just walked in.
"I've already spoken to her, thanks." He replied as he sat down. He looked around at everyone--all three of them were glaring--and asked "What has got all of you so down? Nobody's angry with me, are they?"
"It's not you, don't worry." Lancelot muttered. "Say, what did (y/n) want? She seems to have been spending a lot of time with you lately."
"Do you like her?" Asked Percival
"What, (y/n)?She didn't want anything in particular. And no, I don't like her. I mean, I love her as a friend but not as a woman. You all know me well enough to know I'm not the type to settle down with just one woman." He said the last bit rather cheekily, causing everyone, especially Arthur, to laugh. "And I'm sure she feels that same way about me, she knows me too well to ever 'love' love me."
Lancelot and Percival shared a glance, then Percival said "Say Arthur, speaking of (y/n), didn't you have something you needed to tell her?"
"What?" Stuttered Arthur, "I don't..."
"I thought I remembered you saying it was rather urgent." Chimed in Lancelot. "So you better hop to before it's too late tonight."
"Last I saw her, she was on the main balcony, maybe 10 minutes ago. She might have gone to her room by now, though." Mentioned Gwaine.
Arthur glared at Percival and Lancelot, but did as they said and got up to go find you. If he didn't tell you how he felt now, anyone might take you from him.

You were still on the balcony when Arthur arrived. Hearing someone approaching, you turned your head, but when you saw that it was Arthur, you sighed and looked back forward.
"(y/n), I'm sorry." Arthur began.
"Sorry for what?"
"I shouldn't have been so short with you, and I apologize. I was preoccupied with something that was worrying me, but the situation's been fixed."
You were silent for a moment before turning back to him and saying "I accept your apology. What was the situation? Can you tell me?"
Arthur steeled his nerves, took a deep breath, and said "(y/n), I thought you were in love with Gwaine, and I had been worried about that. Because, well, I love you, and I didn't want to think about you loving someone else. But Gwaine says you don't love him like that. I came to find you because I wanted to know whether or not their was someone you loved, or if you could ever love me."
You blinked slowly and made several attempts to speak before you could force words out. "God, Arthur, I had you worried? Well you can stop worrying, because it's you I love and its always been you I've loved." And you rushed towards him, with him sweeping you up into a hug and spinning you around. Then he set you down, put his hand under your chin, tilted your face up towards his, and kissed you.

Ch.5-Kindly Bound (Arthur P. x Reader)
Morning came and birds were singing to awaken the sleepers within the castle and alert them that there had never been a more beautiful day. (Y/n) got out of bed feeling like Sandy from the beginning credits of Grease or Giselle from Enchanted. Whatever the feeling was, it was certainly fairy-tale. It was like she could climb out the window and fly to the ends of the earth and back again without needing to exhale before the journey’s end. As she dressed in her gown of green silk, she was singing “Carry On My Wayward Son” out loud. Had anyone heard her, they would have been very confused and perhaps even a bit appalled. She di

Ch.6-Accompanied and Alone (Arthur P. x Reader)
“Achoo!” This was the sound that echoed through the castle corridors. As soon as the young warlock had awoken from his dreamless sleep, he was faintly aware that someone was sitting beside his bed to tend to him. He did so much for Camelot that they weren’t even aware of, but there was someone who understood and he or she was not about to let everyone find out the hard way.
Even so, no one noticed the boy’s absence. Arthur was sound asleep and (Y/n) had already woken up and joined her new friends for their morning chat. After all, what else were three girls meant to be doing at a time like this?

Ch.4-In the Midst (Arthur P. x Reader)
The man walked right through the streets of Camelot in plain sight. He would be seen leaving the city, but it wouldn’t make much of a difference to the guards after they put in their report. The man was long gone by the time any of the king’s men thought much of it. He made his journey through the woods to the nearest town. There, he stole a horse that was unattended by rider or lawman and rode it into the distance. By the time that midnight reached its hand over the land, he had arrived at his destination.
Not far from where he stood, a great and mighty castle sat, imbedded in the majestic mountainside. From the outside, it hadn&
